Eve Air Mobility has achieved its 50th successful test flight with a full-scale engineering prototype, accumulating over two hours of total flight time since its first flight in December 2025.
The testing campaign has generated high-fidelity data on performance and systems behavior, providing critical insight to support certification of the electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. These results are being used to refine the commercial design and will inform the development of six conforming prototypes expected to begin production later this year.
Johann Bordais, chief executive officer at Eve Air Mobility, stated, “Reaching 50 successful test flights with our engineering prototype is more than a technical milestone. It is clear evidence of the maturity of our program and the strength of the solutions we are building. Eve is uniquely positioned to deliver not only a high-performance eVTOL aircraft but also aftermarket services, operational and airspace solutions that customers and cities will require to deploy urban air mobility at scale.”
The development process follows Embraer’s integrated methodology, combining aircraft design with the wider operational ecosystem required for deployment, including vertiports, urban infrastructure, and air navigation services. Data collected from the engineering prototype is being used to refine the aircraft and will play a key role in supporting the upcoming certification flight test campaign with Brazil’s civil aviation authority, ANAC.
With this milestone reached, the program is now entering an expanded phase of flight envelope evaluation. Engineers are gradually increasing forward speed while assessing energy management, controllability, stability, noise, and vibration, with full transition flights planned later this year.
