Aircraft Stopped in 20+ States and 82 Airports as BETA Introduced Next-Generation Aviation to Communities across the Country
Routine Flights in Production Aircraft Reflects Ease of Integration in the National Air Space
U.S. aerospace manufacturer BETA Technologies completes a journey across the U.S., returning to its home base in South Burlington, VT following a charge at BETA’s infrastructure in Rutland, VT. Over the past six weeks, the aircraft demonstrated high-cadence operations, completing up to four flights per day, as well as the reliability and low-cost of the next generation flights.

Throughout this trip, BETA highlighted the performance of its aircraft, operating efficiently and consistently across a variety of climates and airfields, integrating into the National Air Space with routineness. The company also utilized its own infrastructure to power the aircraft throughout the journey, showcasing the reliability of its charge solutions and the growing ubiquity of its network.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE JOURNEY:
- Flew past the iconic Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles, demonstrating operational flexibility in different environments.
- Completed six routes to cities across Utah, engaging nearly 1,000 local officials and community members.
- BETA’s technology introduced to nearly 150 members of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), supporting BETA’s certification progress.
- Conducted an IFR flight into the busiest airport in the world — Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
- Successfully utilized BETA’s expanding nationwide infrastructure, proving the viability of reliable, low-cost electric aviation operations.
- Piloted by a rotating team of three aviators: Noah Ranallo, Nate Dubie, and Chris Caputo, who navigated diverse terrains and conditions to demonstrate the aircraft’s operational capabilities.
“Having the opportunity to fly our aircraft across the country was an incredible experience—not just because of the places we saw, but because of the people we met along the way,” said Nate Dubie, ALIA Pilot. “Seeing some iconic American scenes like the Grand Canyon from the cockpit was truly special. But just as exciting was the enthusiasm from so many communities across the country who wanted to learn about this aircraft and the technology behind it. This trip was a great way to put the aircraft and infrastructure through their paces ahead of delivering to customers this year.”
