Joby Aviation has revealed the specific infrastructure layout for its initial operations in the United Arab Emirates, confirming four specific vertiport locations that will anchor its Dubai network.
The strategic locations selected to facilitate this network include Dubai International Airport (DXB), allowing for seamless integration with one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs, and the Dubai Mall, which provides direct access to the Downtown Dubai district.
The network extends to the Palm Jumeirah via a link at Atlantis The Royal, while the American University in Dubai (AUD) has been selected to serve the Dubai Marina and academic corridors.
This route structure is engineered to bypass urban congestion effectively. According to the announcement, the AAM air taxi service is designed to deliver passengers to their destinations significantly faster than traditional automotive transport, with projected time savings of up to 45 minutes on a single trip.
