Together, Joby and ASI aim to enable the safe and efficient management of scaled electric flight in increasingly complex, high-traffic airspace.<\/p>\n<p>As the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) prepares its Brand New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS), the two companies intend to explore how more automated, software-defined airspace coordination can support the transition toward autonomous flight. The partnership aims to demonstrate that high-density eVTOL operations can be managed proactively within the existing national infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Greg Bowles, Chief Policy Officer, Joby Aviation, commented,\u00a0<em>\u201cAmerica has long set the global standard for aviation, and modernizing our airspace is key to maintaining that leadership. By combining Joby\u2019s operational capabilities with ASI\u2019s advanced AI-driven Flyways platform, we\u2019re helping build the intelligent infrastructure needed to integrate electric air taxis seamlessly into the NAS \u2014 one of America\u2019s most important national assets.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The technical focus of the partnership involves leveraging predictive awareness to handle the unique demands of electric air taxis. ASI, which currently provides mission-critical decision systems across aviation, defense, logistics, and energy sectors, will adapt its airspace intelligence tools specifically for the emerging eVTOL industry.<\/p>\n<p>Bernard Asare, President, Civil Aviation, Air Space Intelligence, added,\u00a0<em>\u201cScaling advanced air mobility requires more than new aircraft \u2014 it requires a new operating system for the airspace. Our Flyways AI platform gives operators and controllers the predictive awareness to coordinate high-density operations proactively, not reactively. This partnership brings that same capability to eVTOL operations from day one.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This announcement follows Joby\u2019s recent series of piloted demonstration flights in the San Francisco Bay Area and its selection as a partner in the White House-backed eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP).
