AutoFlight has delivered the world’s first AAM eVTOL aircraft over one metric ton in maximum take-off weight to receive full civil airworthiness certification.

The aircraft, named CarryAll, has been delivered to Heli Chuangxing Intelligent, marking a historic advancement in the commercialization of heavy-lift AAM eVTOL technology. This milestone is seen as a significant step toward the practical integration of advanced air mobility systems into low-altitude logistics and transport operations.

On July 21, the Civil Aviation Administration of China granted the Airworthiness Certificate (AC) for the CarryAll, completing the final requirement in a comprehensive airworthiness certification process. The aircraft now holds all three fundamental certifications required by civil aviation authorities: the Type Certificate (TC) for design validation, the Production Certificate (PC) for authorized manufacturing, and the Airworthiness Certificate (AC) for individual aircraft inspection and approval. With all three in place, CarryAll is said to have become the first eVTOL aircraft above one ton to be fully designed, built, and delivered in compliance with full civil airworthiness procedures, enabling it to enter commercial service with official regulatory backing.

Designed as a heavy-lift unmanned aircraft, CarryAll features a maximum take-off weight of 2,000 kilograms and a payload capacity of 400 kilograms. It achieves a cruise speed of up to 200 kilometers per hour and supports a range of up to 200 kilometers. The fully electric platform employs a lift-and-cruise configuration, combining the vertical take-off and landing versatility of a rotorcraft with the aerodynamic efficiency of fixed-wing flight. This design allows for flexible deployment in a wide variety of mission profiles, particularly in low-altitude logistics, emergency supply distribution, and disaster response operations where rapid, reliable, and remotely piloted solutions are essential.

The aircraft’s development has been underpinned by a rigorous flight testing program totaling over 40,000 kilometers of accumulated flight distance. AutoFlight has conducted extensive operational testing to validate airworthiness compliance and mission readiness. Test flights have been carried out across diverse geographic and environmental conditions in China, the United Arab Emirates, and Japan, including plains, highlands, deserts, forests, rivers, and maritime zones. These varied test campaigns have not only confirmed the aircraft’s performance capabilities but have also demonstrated its viability across multiple real-world use cases and operational environments.

The delivery of CarryAll to Heli Chuangxing Intelligent represents a strategic partnership with one of China’s leading providers of low-altitude operational services. The aircraft will serve as a core platform for the group’s aerial logistics operations, supporting the expansion of China’s emerging low-altitude economy. As commercial applications of eVTOL technology continue to develop, this delivery underscores the momentum behind real-world deployment of certified electric aircraft in practical mission roles.

AutoFlight is also continuing to expand its product line with the development of Prosperity, a five-seat piloted AAM eVTOL currently advancing through the airworthiness certification process. Regulatory authorities have already approved several certifications plans for the aircraft, which is now entering the compliance verification phase. This parallel effort further reinforces AutoFlight’s commitment to delivering both cargo and passenger AAM eVTOL solutions for the evolving advanced air mobility ecosystem.
